Discussion on New Methods of Railway Existing Line Measurement Based on UAV LiDAR
To solve the problems of the inefficiencies and high labor intensity present in current conventional railway line measurements, this paper selected suitable UAV LIDAR equipment and designed a refined UAV LIDAR point cloud data collection scheme.By employing a method that corrected flight paths using precise 3D coordinates based on ground targets,it generated high-precision point clouds as output.Subsequently, the paper utilized computer programs combined with manual interaction to edit, extract, and fit the existing railway tracks, which significantly enhanced the accuracy of data collection. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can achieve a mean error of less than 2 cm in both the planar and elevation residuals of the extracted tracks, meeting the measurement needs of existing railway lines.Through the technical scheme, the paper achieved high-precision extraction of the railway track's plane and elevation, effectively solved the problems present in traditional methods, and offered a valuable experience and references for research in related fields.
