Ecological Protection Technology for High Slope in Loess Subgrade of Xi'an-Yan'an HSR
The unique geological conditions and soil mechanics characteristics of the Loess Plateau give rise to significant landslide challenges in loess areas. The ecological protection(restoration)of transportation infrastructure in loess areas, particularly high speed railway subgrade slopes, has emerged as a crucial research topic within soil and water conservation and engineering geology.Using the Xi'an-Yan'an HSR loess subgrade as a case study, this paper examines the progress, application scope, and future development trends of research on ecological protection(restoration)of loess subgrade slopes from three perspectives:the disaster-causing mechanism in loess area, protective measures for loess subgrade slopes, and ecological restoration technology in loess areas. It delves into the specific slope protection technologies implemented for Xi'an-Yan'an HSR,covering engineering, biological, and drainage measures. It also proposes the potential for an integrated study on ecological protection technology for high slope of loess subgrade, offering insights for the future study on ecological restoration in loess area and green protection of loess subgrade slopes.
