Integrated Design of Railway Passenger Stations Based the Concept of Station-City Integration
In the design of railway passenger station projects, station yards and station buildings serve as the fundamental components of railway passenger stations, and their systematic integration determines the operational efficiency and passenger experience in the stations.Based on recent projects such as Hangzhouxi Railway Station,Xintang Railway Station,Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station, and Humen Railway Station, this study summarizes the forms and key aspects of integrated design for station-yard coordination. It puts forward an approach for the overall planning and design of railway passenger stations. The integrated design of railway passenger stations should be tailored based on the geographical, demographic, and economic characteristics of various regions. This entails the flexible design of the functional layout of transport hub stations, enhancing the functions of urban transport hubs, improving passengers'travel experience, and blending passenger stations with the surrounding building environment and public spaces to create a harmonious urban landscape. This study offers valuable insights for the construction of relevant passenger stations.
