Application of Merging Fire Control Rooms in Nanningbei Railway Station and Affiliated Buildings
Based on the case study on the fire protection works of Nanningbei Station of Guiyang-Nanning High Speed Railway, this study analyzes the arrangement of three fire control rooms in the station building, the multi-purpose building in the station area, and the comprehensive work section.Subsequently,a solution is proposed to merge the fire control rooms located in the station building, the station area, and the work section to achieve centralized control. The merged fire control room is located on the first floor of the multi-purpose building in the station area.Fire alarm controllers are positioned in different zones of the station building. These controllers, situated in distinct zones, are interconnected via a bus to transmit fire signals to the main alarm unit in the central fire control room for unified collection and processing. Moreover, fire signals originating from the automatic main fire alarm unit in the comprehensive work section are networked through an optical fiber bus and transmitted to the automatic main fire alarm unit in the central fire control room.Merging the fire control rooms enables centralized fire protection management, leading to a reduction in the quantity and area of equipment rooms within railway buildings. This optimizes the staffing levels required in the fire control rooms and reduces costs and resource consumption related to fire protection at Nanningbei Railway Station. This application serves as a valuable model for fire protection practices in future railway projects, including new construction, renovations, and expansions.
