Integrated Design of China-Laos Railway Station Area
As a crucial transportation hub and a showcase of the railway system,station areas play a pivotal role in the integrated station-city development.The integrated design of station areas helps economize land resources,enhance transportation connection efficiency,and create pleasant urban public spaces.Drawing insights from the design of stations of the China-Laos Railway,this study delves into the integrated design of station areas,proposing four strategies in terms of station-city integration,layout optimization,cultural integration,and people orientation.Specific measures,such as optimizing transport management,localizing the design,and cultivating distinctive characteristics,are put forward to foster seamless coordination and integration of diverse elements within station areas.These efforts aim to boost the operational efficiency of station areas,elevate environmental quality,and enhance the city's image.This study can serve as a valuable reference for the integrated design of station areas of international railway projects in the new era.
