Effect of the community-based continuation intervention based on smartphone guidance on management of patients with bipolar disorder
Objective To explore the effect of community-based continuation intervention based on smartphone guidance on medication compliance in patients with bipolar disorder. Methods A total of 70 patients with bipolar disorder in a community from January 2020 to June 2022 were selected as the research subjects. After the patients were discharged from the hospital,community-based continued intervention was implemented, and they were divided into a control group and an observation group according to the principle of matching basic information between groups, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was implemented with conventional community continuation intervention, and the observation group was implemented with community continuation intervention based on smartphone guidance. The improvement of depressive and manic symptoms, dysfunctional conditions, and sleep quality of the two groups of patients before and after intervention were compared, and the medication compliance of the two groups of patients was recorded. Results After intervention, the medication compliance in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the Hamilton depression scale(HAMD)and Young manic rating scale(YMRS)scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The dysfunctional attitude scale(DAS)scores of vulnerability,attraction/repulsion,perfection,coercion,approval seeking, dependence, autonomy attitude, and cognitive philosophy in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).In the Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI),the observation group had lower sleep time, sleep duration, sleep efficiency, sleep quality, sleeping medication, sleep disorders, and daytime function scores than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The community continuation intervention based on smartphone guidance had a good effect on improving medication compliance, depressive and manic symptoms, dysfunctional attitude and sleep quality in patients with bipolar disorder.
