Construction and implementation of lung cancer case management model
Objective To construct and implement a lung cancer case management model led by case managers, and explore the on-time follow-up rate, patient satisfaction rate, adjuvant treatment compliance, hospital adjuvant treatment retention rate,self-management ability and postoperative complication rate and other specialist indicators. Methods A total of 192 patients diagnosed with lung cancer from the department of thoracic surgery,Anhui Provincial Hospital of the First Affiliated Hospital of University of Science and Technology of China from October 2020 to November 2021 were selected as the research subjects.According to the principle of comparability of basic characteristics between groups, they were divided into an observation group and a control group, with 96 cases in each group. The observation group implemented a full-course lung cancer case management model led by case managers, while the control group implemented routine care. The on-time follow-up rate, patient satisfaction rate, adjuvant treatment compliance and other indicators of the two groups of patients were evaluated. Results The on-time follow-up rate, satisfaction rate, auxiliary treatment compliance and hospital auxiliary treatment retention rate of patients in the observation group were all higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The observation group's lung function exercise compliance, chronic cough self-management compliance rate, affected upper limb lifting compliance rate, and reasonable dietary awareness rate were higher than those in the control group, the incidence of postoperative complications was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The construction and application of lung cancer case management model in clinical practice can effectively improve diagnosis and treatment compliance, reduce the incidence of complications, improve patients'self-management ability, and improve quality of life.
