Effects of a dual-way comprehensive psychological intervention on children with cleft lip and palate and their parents
Objective To explore the effect of dual-way comprehensive psychological intervention with health education on children with cleft lip and palate.Methods 60 cases of children with cleft lip and palate and their parents admitted to the hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected as research subjects,they were divided into observation group and control group according to the principle of comparability of basic characteristics between groups,with 30 cases in each group.In the control group,routine care was provided,in the observation group,dual-way comprehensive psychological intervention and health education were used on the basis of routine care.To compared the hope level and psychological status of the children in the two groups,evaluated the social support status of the parents and their psychiatric symptom scores,as well as the quality of life of the children and their parents.Results Before the intervention,there was no statistically significant difference in the scores of hope level scale(P>0.05).After the intervention,the scores of positive attitudes toward the future,taking positive actions,and maintaining close relationships with others were higher than the scores of the control group in the hope level of the children in the observation group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before the intervention,there was no statistically significant difference between the Hamilton anxiety and depression scores and the parents'psychiatric symptom score of the children in the two groups(P>0.05).After the intervention,the Hamilton anxiety and depression scale scores and the parents'psychiatric symptom score of the children in the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before the intervention,there was no statistically significant difference in the comparison of the psychiatric symptom scores of the parents of the two groups(P>0.05);after the intervention,the psychiatric symptom scores of the parents in the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before the intervention,there was no statistically significant difference in the comparison of the quality of life scores of the children and parents(P>0.05).After the intervention,the quality of life scores of the children and parents in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Dual-way comprehensive psychological care with health education can improve the quality of life of children and parents,raise the level of hope of children and improve mental health;raise the social support status of parents,alleviate psychiatric symptoms,and play a role in guaranteeing the continuous treatment of children.
