Evaluation of the effectiveness of SPOC five-step teaching method in thyroid and breast surgical nursing teaching
Objective To explore the application effect of small private online course(SPOC)five-step teaching method in thyroid and breast surgical nursing teaching.Methods To select 60 intern nurses in the hospital's thyroid and breast surgery from May 2021 to May 2022 was as the research subjects.We used 30 intern nurses who used the traditional face-to-face teaching method from May to October 2021 as a control group;we used 30 intern nurses who used the SPOC five-step teaching method from November 2021 to May 2022 as an observation group.A self-made thyroid and breast surgery nursing discharge examination questionnaire and a trainee nurse training satisfaction evaluation questionnaire were used to evaluate and compare the discharge scores and satisfaction scores of the two groups of trainee nurses in terms of specialist knowledge,diagnostic and treatment skills and nursing abilities.Results The exit examination scores of specialist knowledge,diagnostic and treatment skills and nursing abilities in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction scores of the intern nurses in the observation group were higher than those in the control group in terms of course content,training methods,combination of theory and practice,difficulty of teaching the course,help of the course to themselves,course setting,and overall evaluation,the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The SPOC five-step teaching method can effectively meet the diverse learning needs of intern nurses,improve the professional knowledge and skills of intern nurses,and improve nurses'teaching satisfaction.
