Objective To analyze the moderating effect of family resilience on the relationship between prosopagnosia and psychological distress in hepatocellular carcinoma patients. Methods 224 hepatocellular carcinoma patients admitted to the Interventional Department of the hospital from January 2021 to January 2022 were selected as the survey subjects, general information questionnaires,Family Resilience Assessment Scale(FRAS),Prosopagnosic Personality Scale(PPS)and Orbach&Mikulincer Psychological Distress Scale(OMMP)were chosen for assessment.Pearson correlation and stratified linear regression were used to analyze the moderating effect of family resilience between prosopagnosia and psychological distress in liver cancer patients.Simple slope test was used to analyze the slopes of the prediction of psychological distress by prosopagnosia at high and low family toughness.Johnson-Neyman technique was used to analyze the critical value of the moderating effect of family toughness on the relationship between prosopagnosia and psychological distress in hepatocellular carcinoma patients. Results 204 valid questionnaires were collected.Family resilience score of hepatocellular carcinoma patients was 130.92±41.04 points, prosopagnosic personality score was 18.06±4.24 points, and psychological distress score was 139.72±26.89 points. The results of Pearson's correlation analysis showed a negative correlation between family resilience, prosopagnosic personality, and psychological distress in hepatocellular carcinoma patients(P<0.001),and a positive correlation between family resilience and prosopagnosic personality in hepatocellular carcinoma patients were positively correlated with each other(P<0.001).The simple slope test showed that the predictive slope of psychological distress was statistically significant for preoccupied personality with high family toughness(β=-0.372,P=0.002),and the predictive slope of psychological distress was not statistically significant for preoccupied personality with low family toughness(β=-0.104,P=0.094).The Johnson-Neyman technique analysis showed that when family toughness was≥105,the moderating effect on the moderating effect between prosopagnosic personality and psychological distress in liver cancer patients gradually increased. Conclusion Liver cancer patients have higher levels of psychological distress, and their prosopagnosic personality could directly or indirectly affect their psychological distress through family toughness.Clinical staffshould assess the level of family toughness of liver cancer patients and inspire their prosopagnosic personality,so as to reduce their psychological distress.
