Application of information-motivation-behavior predictive nursing model in patients with bipolar disorder mania
Objective To explore the application effect of information-motivation-behavior predictive nursing model in patients with bipolar disorder and provide reference for future nursing plan optimization for patients with bipolar disorder and mania. Methods Fifty patients with bipolar disorder and mania admitted to the hospital from September 2021 to February 2023 were divided into control group(25 cases)and observation group(25 cases)according to the principle of comparability of general data between groups. The control group received routine nursing, and the observation group received predictive nursing based on routine nursing information-motivation-behavior predictive nursing, and the nursing cycle was 1 month. The two groups were compared in terms of psychiatric status[Gross Assessment Scale(GAS),Beck-Lavanson Mania Scale(BRMS)]before care and after 1 month of care, labour capacity[Screening for Social Deficits in Social Functioning(SDSS)]before care and after 1 month of care, adherence to treatment(self-administered questionnaire on adherence to treatment)and satisfaction with care(self-administered questionnaire on satisfaction with care)after 1 month of care. Results There was no significant difference in GAS and BRMS scores between the two groups before nursing(P>0.05).GAS score increased and BRMS score decreased in both groups after 1 month of nursing, but GAS score in observation group was higher than control group,BRMS score was lower than control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in SDSS scores between the two groups before nursing(P>0.05).The SDSS score of both groups after 1 month of nursing was decreased, and the observation group was lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 1 month of nursing, the scores of self-made treatment compliance questionnaire and self-made nursing satisfaction questionnaire in observation group were higher than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of information-motivation-behavioural anticipatory care for bipolar disorder mania patients has a good effect on improving mental status, labour capacity, treatment compliance and satisfaction, and it is considered to be one of the main nursing interventions for bipolar disorder mania patients in the future, with a view to improving the recovery of the patients.
