Clinical observation of traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application combined with ear acupuncture bean pressing on hypertension and weakness in the elderly with yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity
Objective To explore the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application combined with auricular point pressing beans on hypertension complicated with weakness in the elderly with yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity,and to provide reference for the prevention and treatment of elderly patients with hypertension complicated with weakness.Methods Sixty elderly patients with hypertension complicated with hyperactivity due to Yin deficiency and Yang hyperactivity who were admitted to the hospital from March to November 2023 were selected as the study objects,and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to the principle that the baseline information between the groups was comparable,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was given routine blood pressure lowering care and health education,the propaganda and education is 2 weeks,once a week a total of 2 times of education,the observation group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application combined with auricular point pressure bean treatment on the basis of the control group,once a day,1 week for 1 course of treatment,a total of 2 weeks of intervention.At the end of 2 weeks,the clinical effects of the two groups of patients after the intervention were compared;before the intervention and 2 weeks after the intervention,the improvement degree of systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),TCM syndrome score and senile weakness score in the two groups was evaluated by using an electronic sphygmomanometer,TCM syndrome score scale,and elderly weakness assessment scale.Results Before intervention,the blood pressure,TCM syndrome score,and senile debilitation score of the two groups were compared,and the difference was not statistically significant(P＞0.05).After intervention,the blood pressure,TCM syndrome score of elder,and debilitation score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After intervention,the antihypertensive effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion For the elderly patients with yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity type of hypertension complicated with weakness,traditional Chinese medicine acupoint sticking and ear acupoint pressing beans are applied.According to their syndrome type,eight acupoints of liver,kidney,sympathetic,Shenmen,antihypertensive groove,subcortical,gallbladder,and heart are selected and applied.The effect is good,the operation is simple,no adverse reactions occur,can effectively improve the blood pressure,TCM syndromes and weakness symptoms of patients,and promote the recovery of patients.
