Effects of ear copper scraping combined with auricular point pressing beans on patients with spleen-stomach weakness-type tinnitus
Objective To observe the effect of ear copper scraping combined with ear point pressing beans based on holography on sleep quality and daily life of patients with spleen-stomach weakness tinnitus.Methods 82 patients with spleen-stomach weakness type tinnitus who met the inclusion conditions in the outpatient clinic of otorhinolaryngology,head and neck surgery of a Class Ⅲ Grade A combined traditional Chinese and Western medicine hospital in Nanning from September 2022 to April 2023 were selected for the study,they were divided into an observation group and a control group,with 41 cases in each group,according to the principle that the basic characteristics of the groups were comparable.The patients in the control group were given alternating auricular acupoint pressure beans in both ears for 4 weeks at the same time as the routine tinnitus outpatient care,while the observation group was given holographic copper acupuncture scraping in both ears for 4 weeks at the same time as the measures of the control group.The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)was used to assess the patients'sleep quality before,at the end of the intervention and 4 weeks after the intervention,and the Tinnitus Handicap Inventory(THI)was used to assess the impact of tinnitus on the patients'daily life.Results 39 patients in each of the two groups completed the study.The total PSQI scores of patients in the two groups before intervention,at the end of intervention,and 4 weeks after the end of intervention had a tendency to gradually decrease,and the difference between the times was statistically significant(P＜0.05).At the end of intervention,and 4 weeks after the end of intervention,the total PSQI score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).With the extension of the observation time,the difference between the groups increased gradually,and the difference between the groups with the change of time were statistically significant(P＜0.05).There was a trend of gradual decrease in the total THI scores of patients in the two groups before the intervention,at the end of the intervention,and 4 weeks after the end of the intervention,and the difference between the times was statistically significant(P＜0.05),but there was no statistically significant between-group and interaction effects of the total THI(P＞0.05).Four weeks after the end of the intervention,the treatment effectiveness rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference between groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The holography-based method of copper acupuncture scraping of the ear combined with auricular pressure beans is simple,green and safe,which can improve the sleep quality of tinnitus patients with weak spleen and stomach and reduce the impact of tinnitus on patients'daily life.
