Observation on the effect of childlike, comfort, and fine nursing pathway intervention in nebulized inhalation therapy for children with bronchopneumonia
Objective To explore the impact of childlike, comfort, and fine nursing pathway intervention on compliance, comfort, and clinical outcomes of nebulized inhalation therapy in children with bronchopneumonia. Methods A total of 96 children with bronchopneumonia admitted to the hospital from June to December 2022,along with their parents, were selected. The patients were divided into an observation group and a control group following the principle of balanced and comparable baseline data between groups. In the observation group,49 children received childlike, comfort, and fine nursing pathway intervention, while 47 children in the control group received routine nursing intervention(including conventional nebulization, medication guidance, and dietary guidance,etc.).The treatment adherence questionnaire and General Comfort Questionnaire(GCQ)were used to evaluate and compare the treatment compliance and comfort levels between the two groups;the time of symptom relief(fever, cough, shortness of breath, wheezing sound)was compared between the two groups;and the psychological status of the children's parents was evaluated using the Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)and Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)scales. Results The scores of reasonable diet, medication adherence, cooperation, and health behavior among children in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The GCQ scale scores of children in the observation group surpassed those of the control group across physical,psychological,spiritual,socio-cultural and environmental dimensions, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The observation group experienced a shorter time to symptom relief for fever, cough, shortness of breath, and wheezing sound compared to the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The HAMD and HAMA scores of parents in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The childlike, comfort, and fine nursing pathway intervention can not only effectively improve the comfort of children with nebulization therapy and enable patients to form good treatment compliance, but also promote the recovery of symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath and wheezing sound, and improve the psychological state of their parents.
