Objective To explore the intervention effect of continuing care on patients after femoral intertrochanteric fracture surgery and provide a reference basis for clinical nursing staff to formulate nursing measures. Methods Computer searches of CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,CBM,WOS,PubMed,Cochrane Library and Embase databases for randomized controlled trials(RCT)on the intervention of continuing care for patients after femoral intertrochanteric fracture surgery, from inception to March 2023.Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.4.Results A total of 10 studies were included, involving total 974 patients.Meta-analysis showed that continuing care can improve hip joint function(MD=5.79,95%CI:2.65~8.93),activities of daily living(MD=8.37,95%CI:5.94~10.80),quality of life(MD=19.17,95%CI:16.89~21.45),and psychological well-being(MD=-4.77,95%CI:-5.80~-3.75)of postoperative patients compared with routine care. Conclusions The implementation of continuing care on patients after femoral intertrochanteric fracture surgery can improve hip joint function, activities of daily living, quality of life as well as psychological well-being,and has a positive effect on the prognosis of patients.
