Construction of evaluation index system for PICC nursing safety management
Objective To construct an evaluation index system for PICC nursing safety management in China based on"Vincent's Factors Framework of Patient Safety",and provide a quantitative reference tool for PICC nursing safety management.Methods Based on"Vincent's Factors Framework of Patient Safety",we analyzed literature and clinical practice data to draft initial evaluation index items for PICC nursing safety management,considering aspects such as clinical significance,feasibility and effectiveness of the index system.We conducted three rounds of expert consultations involving 28 experts using the Delphi method,and statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 24.0 and Yaahp software,thereby forming the final version of PICC nursing safety management evaluation index entries.Results Based on literature analysis and clinical practice experience,and after 2 rounds of group discussions and opinion summarization,the PICC nursing safety management evaluation index items were initially formulated,comprising 5 first-level indicators,18 second-level indicators,and 43 third-level indicators.A total of 28 experts from Shandong,Beijing,Shanghai,and Tianjin were selected for three rounds of expert consultations.The response rates for the expert consultation questionnaire were 100%,92.86%,and 89.29%,respectively.The expert authority coefficients were 0.831,0.862,and 0.895,respectively.The degrees of coordination of expert opinions were 0.272,0.414,and 0.483,respectively.After combining expert consultation opinions with group member discussions,the final evaluation index system for PICC nursing safety management was constructed,comprising 4 first-level indicators(organizational management factors,environmental facility factors,nursing personnel factors,patient factors),along with 13 second-level indicators and 44 third-level indicators.Conclusion The process of index construction was conducted scientifically and the consulted experts were highly motivated and authoritative.The content of the indicators is reasonable and can provide a quantitative evaluation tool for PICC nursing safety management.
