Investigation and analysis on the current status and influencing factors of disease uncertainty among advanced maternal age in late pregnancy
Objective To analyze the current situation and related influencing factors of uncertainty of disease in elderly pregnant women in late pregnancy, and to find an intervention plan to reduce their uncertainty of disease and improve maternal and infant outcomes. Methods The elderly late stage pregnant women who underwent prenatal examinations at Jiangxi Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2021 to June 2022 were included as the research subjects. The Disease Uncertainty in Illness Scale-Adult(MUIS-A)was used to evaluate their disease uncertainty, and a self-made baseline data questionnaire was used to investigate the baseline data of pregnant women. The influencing factors of maternal disease uncertainty were determined through single factor and ordered Logistic regression analysis. Results A total of 146 questionnaires were distributed in this study,128 of which were effectively recovered, with an effective recovery rate of 87.67%.Among 128 parturients,24 had a low level of disease uncertainty,85 had a moderate level, and 19 had a high level. The results of univariate analysis showed that maternal type, education level, pregnancy complications, and regular prenatal check ups were all factors affecting the uncertainty of disease in elderly late pregnancy women(P<0.05).Ordered Logistic regression analysis showed that the influencing factors of the uncertainty of the disease of the elderly late pregnant women were primipara, education level of junior high school and below, pregnancy complications, and unscheduled prenatal examination(P<0.05).Conclusion Elderly pregnant women in late pregnancy have a certain degree of uncertainty of disease.Maternal type, education level, pregnancy complications, and regular prenatal examination are all important influencing factors. It is recommended that medical staff should take targeted intervention measures as soon as possible to reduce maternal uncertainty of disease.
