The application of knowledge-attitude-belief-practice model in enterostomy postoperation patients
Objective To explore the application effect of knowledge-attitude-belief-practice in enterostomy postoperation patients.Methods There were 72 patients after colostomy in the Department of Colorectal Surgery of a Grade A Class III hospital in Liaoning Province from March to July 2023 were selected as the study subjects,they were divided into a control group and an observation group according to the principle of comparability of basic characteristics between groups,with 36 patients in each group.The control group received routine out-of-hospital extended nursing,and the observation group continued nursing health education based on knowledge-attitude-belief and practice on the basis of the control group.The intervention period was 3 months.Compare the two groups of patients'colostomy knowledge-attitude-belief-practice scale(CPCKAPS),stigma[Social Impact Scale(SIS)],and quality of life[Stoma Quality of life Scale(Stoma-QOL)].Results Before the intervention,there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05)in the score of the Stoma Knowledge and Information Scale,the Social Impact Scale,the Stoma Patient Quality of Life Scale,and the scores of each dimension.After the intervention,the scores of the ostomy information scale and the scores of each dimension in the observation group were higher than those in the control group.The scores of the social impact scale and the scores of each dimension in the observation group were lower than those in the control group.The scores of the quality of life scale and the scores of each dimension in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion By taking the combination of knowledge,attitude,belief and practice and continuous nursing health education program,effectively improve the knowledge,attitude,belief and practice of enterostomy patients discharged after enterostomy,reduce the sense of stigma caused by enterostomy,improve the quality of life,help patients to normal life and integrate into society as soon as possible,and provide a certain reference for patients after enterostomy to formulate a continuous nursing health education program.
