Psychological status of in vitro fertilisation-embryo transfer recipients and the influencing factors of pregnancy outcome
Objective To analyse the psychological status of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer recipients and the factors affecting pregnancy outcome. Methods A total of 280 cases of IVF-embryo transplant recipients admitted to the hospital from October 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the study group,160 cases of normal pregnant women who underwent pregnancy test in the hospital were selected as the control group,to assess the psychological state of the two groups, and to statistically assess the outcome of pregnancy and related factors in IVF-embryo transplant recipients. Results Compared with the control group, the SDS and SAS scores of the study group were higher, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Among the 280 cases of IVF-ET,162 pregnancies were successful and 118 pregnancies were unsuccessful.Univariate analysis showed that the pregnancy outcome of IVF-embryo transfer recipients was not related with the resident place, monthly income, type of infertility, and the number of embryos that could be transplanted, and there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).The pregnancy outcome of IVF-embryo transfer recipients was not related with age, education, infertility,BMI,number of high-quality embryos, thickness of the uterine membrane on the day of human chorionic gonadotropic hormone(HCG),basal folliculogenesis(FSH),basal folliculogenesis(FH),and the number of embryos that were transferred. In comparison with successful IVF-ET recipients, those with pregnancy failure were≥35 years old, education background were junior high school or below, infertile for≥3 years,BMI≥28 kg/m2,number of good quality embryos<4,thickness of uterine membrane<8 mm on the day of HCG,basal FSH≥25 U/L,SDS score≥53 points and SAS score≥50 points were higher, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Taking the pregnancy outcome of IVF-embryo transfer recipients as the dependent variable(pregnancy success=0;pregnancy failure=1),the multifactorial Logistics regression analysis was conducted by selecting the variables with P<0.05 in the univariate analysis, and the results showed that age, education, infertility years,BMI,number of high-quality embryos, thickness of uterine membrane on the day of HCG,basal FSH,SDS scores, and SAS scores were the most important factors affecting the pregnancy outcome of IVF-embryo transfer recipients. The results showed that age, culture,BMI,number of good quality embryos, uterine membrane thickness on the day of HCG,basal FSH,SDS score,SAS score were the main factors affecting the pregnancy outcome of IVF-embryo transfer recipients(P<0.05).Conclusion In vitro fertilization-embryo transfer(IVF-ET)recipients had higher scores of anxiety and depression, and the pregnancy outcome of IVF-ET recipients was correlated with age, education, infertility,BMI,number of high-quality embryos, thickness of uterine membranes on the day of HCG,basal FSH,SDS score and SAS score.
