Analysis of the current status and influencing factors of primary caregivers'readiness for patients with eating disorders
Objective To explore the current status and influencing factors of primary caregivers'readiness for patients with eating disorders, with the aim of developing targeted intervention measures for primary caregivers with low levels of readiness. Methods A total of 153 primary caregivers of patients with eating disorders who visited Tianjin Anding Hospital from October 2019 to January 2022 were selected as the survey subjects. The General Information Questionnaire,Caregiver Readiness Scale,Caregiver Burden Questionnaire,Depression-Anxiety-Stress Scale, and Herth Hope Scale were used to assess the primary caregivers of patients with eating disorders.Univariate analysis and multivariate linear regression analysis were used to analyze the influencing factors of primary caregivers'readiness for patients with eating disorders. Results The readiness score of primary caregivers for patients with eating disorders was 13.69±3.26 points.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the primary caregiver's age(b=-0.080),education level(b=0.612),monthly family income(b=0.581),caregiver burden(b=-0.143),anxiety(b=-0.144),and hope level(b=0.238)were influencing factors of the primary caregiver's readiness for patients with eating disorders(P<0.05),explaining 78.3%of the total variance. Conclusion The age, education level, monthly family income, caregiver burden, anxiety, and hope level were influencing factors of the primary caregiver's readiness for patients with eating disorders.Clinical nursing staffshould fully assess and focus on caregivers with low readiness, providing health education and guidance to improve the readiness of primary caregivers and thereby promote the recovery of patients with eating disorders.
