Application of DMAIC nursing management in patients with stoma incontinence
Objective To explore the impact of the Six Sigma management process tool(DMAIC)nursing management on nutritional indicators, immune indicators and complications in patients with stoma incontinence. Methods A total of 60 patients with stoma incontinence admitted from April 2022 to February 2023 were selected as research subjects.Based on the principle of comparability of basic characteristics between groups, they were divided into a control group and an observation group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing care, while the observation group received DMAIC nursing management. Both groups received continuous intervention for 1 month. The incidence of complications, nutritional indicators[prealbumin(PA),hemoglobin(HGB),transferrin(TRF),and albumin(ALB)]before and after intervention, immune indicators(immunoglobulin A and T-lymphocyte subsets)and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before intervention, there was no statistically significant difference in PA,HGB,TRF,and ALB between the two groups(P>0.05).After intervention, the PA,HGB,TRF,and ALB in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before intervention, there was no statistically significant difference in the CD4+,CD4+/CD8+,IgG,and IgA between the two groups(P>0.05).After intervention, the CD4+,CD4+/CD8+,IgG,and IgA in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction of patients in the observation group was better than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of DMAIC nursing management for patients with stoma incontinence can effectively regulate nutritional indicators and immune function, reduce the incidence of complications, and improve nursing satisfaction.
