The Internal Logic,Theoretical System and Practical Value of Well-being Measurement:Taking the Evolution of OECD's Official Texts of Beyond GDP as the Thread
In order to make up for the limitations of GDP in the measurement of well-being,OECD has carried out theoretical research on the topic of Beyond GDP,which has greatly promoted the theoretical development of well-being measurement.Taking the Report by the Commission on the measurement of Economic Performance and Social Progress and For Good Measure:Advancing Research on Well-being Metrics Beyond GDP,the two most important official texts of OECD on the topic of Beyond GDP,as the thread,this paper summarizes the internal logic of well-being measurement,reviews the theoretical system of well-being measurement from the perspectives of inequality,quality of life and sustainability,and discusses the practical value of well-being measurement and explains the common problems of well-being measurement.Finally,this paper proposes the practical significance the and difficulties of well-being measurement in China.
