Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is one of the most common liver diseases, and more and more studies related to multi-target and multi-pathway treatment of NAFLD with TCM have been reported in recent years. In order to further summarise the research progress of signaling pathways related to the treatment of NAFLD with Chinese medicine,we searched the literature of China Knowledge and PubMed databases in the past 5 years, and collated the common signaling pathways and mechanisms of action of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of NAFLD,so as to provide basic research ideas and theoretical support for the treatment of NAFLD with traditional Chinese medicine.By searching the literature related to the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease with Chinese medicine, the mechanism of action and common signaling pathways were sorted out and classified, summarised, and researched in terms of regulating lipid metabolism and inflammatory response.Signaling pathways related to the regulation of lipid metabolism include FXR,PPARα,G protein signaling pathway,etc.In-flammatory responses are associated with multiple signaling pathways such as NF-κB,Nrf2,Th17/Treg and JNK.Chinese medicine can regulate lipid metabolism and inflammatory response through multiple signaling pathways, and then treat NAFLD.multi-target,multi-pathway treatment of NAFLD in Chinese medicine has a rich laboratory research and theoretical basis, and further in-depth clinical research and development has a very good prospect.
