Effects of zinc-containing urea on maize and its effects on later wheat
In order to clarify the application effect of new fertilizer zinc-containing urea on summer maize and its after-effect on winter wheat,a field experiment was conducted to study the yield, nutrient absorption and accumulation of summer maize, soil nutrient content change and its after-effect on winter wheat yield under the application of zinc-containing urea, urea, urea+zinc fertilizer, and urea+foliar spraying zinc fertilizer. The results showed that the yield of maize with urea+foliar spaying zinc fertilizer treatment was higher than that without nitrogen fertilizer, which significantly increased by 17.5%.The yield of maize of zinc-containing urea treatment was increased significantly by 16.7%than that of without nitrogen fertilizer, and significantly higher than that of urea treatment by 5.6%.There was no significant difference between zinc-containing urea and traditional zinc application.Compared with urea treatment, the accumulation of nitrogen and zinc in the ground of zinc-containing urea treatment were significantly increased by 9.0%and 47.8%,respectively.After summer maize harvest, the soil available zinc content of zinc-containing urea treatment was 1.83 mg·kg-1,which was 88.6%higher than that of urea treatment. The yield of later winter wheat of urea+zinc fertilizer treatment was higher, which was 11.9%higher than that of urea treatment. The winter wheat yield of zinc-containging urea treatment was 4.7%higher than that of urea treatment, and the annual crop rotation yield was increased by 5.2%.Summer maize profit and annual rotation profit were increased by 826.2 and 1490.4 yuan·hm-2,respectively.Zinc-containing urea treatment had a better yield increase effect on summer maize, which increased the soil available zinc content. It also had a yield and profit increase effect on winter wheat in later season and annual yield. There was no significant difference between zinc-containing urea and traditional zinc application in the summer maize yield, dry matter accumulation and nitrogen fertilizer utilization characteristics, and the input cost of zinc-containing urea was reduced by 26.1%,compared with the traditional zinc application(nitrogen fertilizer and zinc fertilizer),which increased the yield and economic benefit compared with urea treatment.Zinc-containing urea has the potential to be applied in the maize-wheat rotation system.
