Study on the correlation between soil physicochemical properties and the quality of Weiqing radish
To reveal the effects of soil physicochemical factors on the quality of Weiqing radish, the differences in soil physicochemical factors and their correlation with radish quality were analyzed in Wuqing and Xiqing production areas of Tianjin. The results showed that the soil textures of the Xiqing and Wuqing production areas was heavy loam and light loam. The contents of total phosphorus, organic matter, and magnesium, calcium, arsenic, cadmium, cobalt, chromium, copper, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, lead and zinc were significantly higher in Xiqing than those in Wuqing, while the contents of total potassium, available potassium, available nitrogen, and available phosphorus were significantly lower than those in Wuqing.Correlation analysis revealed that radish protein, soluble sugar, soluble solids, vitamin C,crude fiber, and water contents were positively correlated with several soil physicochemical factors to varying degrees,of which the soluble sugar content was significantly positively correlated with soil available phosphorus and available potassium contents, and soluble solids and protein contents were significantly positively correlated with soil electrical conductivity. Therefore,in the process of radish production, the physicochemical characteristics of the soil cowld be combined with targeted field management and routine fertilization to improve and enhance the quality of radish.
