Study on the interannual variation patterns of carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus element stoichiometric character-istics of jujube in the circum-Tarim basin
Ecological stoichiometry is a science that studies the balance relationship of multiple chemical elements in organisms during ecological interactions. In order to explore the interannual variation patterns of carbon(C),nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)element contents and their stoichiometric ratios in jujube annual rings, taking the jujube orchards in the Tarim basin of Xinjiang as the research object, the C,N and P element contents in the annual rings of jujube(2013-2020)as well as in the soil were measured, the radial changes of C,N and P element stoichiometric characteristics of the annual rings of jujube, the average annual accumulation, and the stoichiometric characteristics of the annual rings and the soil C,N and P element were analyzed, and the correlation between the annual rings of C,N and P element stoichiometric characteristics and the planting areas, yields and price factors were further analyzed. The results showed that:(1)the mean annual average accumulation of C,N and P element in jujube trees was 487.57,5.50 and 0.37 g/kg,respectively;and the mean values of C∶N,C∶P and N∶P were 94.32,1408.16 and 15.68,respectively.(2)The trends of C,N and P element contents and their stoichiometric ratios of jujube annual rings varied with time. The distribution of C element content in the trunk of jujube trees was relatively stable,N and P element contents showed an increasing trend, and C∶N,C∶P and N∶P generally showed a decreasing trend.(3)Soil organic C,total N,total P content and C∶P,N∶P decreased significantly with the increase of soil depth, while soil C∶N was significantly higher in the 40-60 cm soil layer than in the 0-20,20-40 cm soil layers.(4)Correlation analysis showed that the N element content of the soil layer from 20 to 40 cm,the P element content and C∶N of the soil layer from 40 to 60 cm,and the N∶P of the soil layer from 0 to 20 cm had strong correlations with the corresponding elemental contents and stoichiometric ratios of the annual rings of jujube, while the C,N,P element contents of the annual rings and their stoichiometric ratios had significant correlations with the area of cultivation of jujube in Xinjiang region, the annual production and the price factor. This study could provide a theoretical basis for revealing the interannual change pattern of C,N and P element stoichiometric characteristics of annual rings of jujube in the circum-Tarim basin and the rational fertilization of orchards in dry areas.
