Low-carbon transformation measures for LNG terminals and their economic control
In this study, three measures including energy saving and emission reduction, imported green electricity and re-newable energy substitution were discussed in order to probe into low-carbon transformation ways for most LNG terminals in China. Then, taken one coastal LNG terminal as an example, three low-carbon schemes were set up,including complete-ly imported green electricity, completely increasing renewable energy facilities, and partially imported electricity + partially increasing facilities. Finally, the impact of these three schemes on this terminal was investigated thoroughly from aspect of economy. Results show that(ⅰ)based on current technologies,LNG terminals can achieve energy saving and consumption reduction by optimizing gas-and liquid-transported modes or using some energy-consuming equipment with frequency con-verters.Meanwhile,they can also achieve carbon reduction by using low-carbon torches, methane recovery and new energy vehicles;(ⅱ)the terminals can obtain the low-carbon transformation through the imported electricity, which exerts the mini-mum economic influence on terminal projects;and(ⅲ)if renewable energy is used as the substitute for the transformed ter-minals,both fuel and power costs will decrease significantly. However, compared with the other scheme of completely im-ported electricity,LNG-processing costs will be 9%higher,attaining 0.2291 yuan/m3.
