Adaptability analysis and application of dew-point control processes in underground gas storage facilities
Dew-point control system serves as the core process of underground gas storage.Various types of underground gas storage reservoirs have different production gas composition,water content and hydrocarbon content,leading to significant variations in potential routes of dew-point control process.Additionally,the inconsistent quality of domestically produced adsorbents imposes certain constraints on process selection.To address these challenges,we first analyze and develop the overall strategy in dew-point control process for underground gas storage reservoirs,taking into account the dew-point control processes of oil and gas fields.Secondly,we analyze and compile the advantages and disadvantages of various methods,including low-temperature condensation method,solvent adsorption method and solid adsorbent adsorption method,considering the unique attributes of underground gas storage facilities,solvent and adsorbent.This analysis leads to the proposal of three kinds of dew-point control processes,including the ethylene glycol antifreeze+J-T valve refrigeration process,the tri-ethylene glycol dehydration process,and the silica gel adsorption process.Finally,through a technical and economics comparison of a typical underground gas storage project,we recommend the dew-point control process tailored for storage facilities such as oil and gas reservoirs,salt caverns and water layer type reservoirs,providing guidance and insights for the subsequent enhancement of the development and design of underground gas storage reservoirs.
