Investigation on Social Intercourse Between Wang Pengyun and Long Jidong:With Wang Pengyun's Four Letters to Long Jidong as the Basis
Wang Pengyun and Long Jidong are fellow townmates and friends of Lingui.The academic circle has reached a conclusion that Long Jidong is the poem teacher of Wang Pengyun,a poem leader of the late Qing Dynasty.However,there is little discussion about the later interaction between them.Centering on Wang Pengyun's Four Letters to Long Songcen recorded in No.8,Volume 1 of Jiayin(Dongjing)in 1915 and combined with other relevant materials,it is found that they were separated from each other after they interacted with each other for several years in the Miju Hall.They mainly contacted with each other through letters but also met each other personally.Later,they paid little attention to literature,but paid more interest to court politics.
