Research on Multimodal Teaching Model for English Stylistic Writing in the Digital Age
Traditional English writing teaching has predominantly centered around a singular linguistic modality,an approach increasingly inadequate for the multifaceted talent requirements of the digital era.Addressing this gap,the present paper develops a multimodal theoretical framework for the instruction of English stylistic writing.Anchored in the theory of situational context, this framework accentuates the employment of multimodal semiotic systems to aid learners in the construction and articulation of information, thus transcending the cognitive confines inherent in conventional writing education. The study provides an innovative exposition of the English stylistic writing pedagogy across four pivotal dimensions:the synthesis of multimedia learning resources, the innovation of multimodal teacher-student interactive strategies, the establishment of immersive learning environment, and the production and demonstration of multimodal assignments. The objective is to invigorate student engagement, elevate their writing proficiency, enhance their capabilities in communication and emotional articulation,as well as foster critical and inventive thinking. This study seeks to offer novel insights and valuable resources for scholars and practitioners within the domain of second language writing instruction.
