Through the analysis of local chronicles,personal writings,survey reports,and contemporary local chronicles in Guizhou,sugarcane was introduced to Guizhou during the Ming Dynasty,and the planting areas continued to expand over time.By the Republic of China era,sugarcane was planted in many parts of the province.In terms of space,sugarcane planting is affected by natural conditions and distributed in various river valleys in the province.The cultivation and utilization of sugarcane in Guizhou has had a profound impact on the aspects of industrial production,diet structure adjustment and commodity economy development.
