The Textual Criticism of Zhou Zuoji's Official Mark in Guizhou
Zhou Zuoji was a Jinshi from Taihe County,Jiangxi Province.During his fifteen years from entering Guizhou as an official in June of the 18th year of the Daoguang reign(1838)to leaving Guizhou in the winter of the 3rd year of the Xianfeng reign(1853),he successively served as the magistrate of Tongren Prefecture,Dujiang Tongjian Prefecture,Sinan Prefecture,Duyun Prefecture,Zunyi Prefecture,Xingyi Prefecture(not yet in office),Guiyang Prefecture,Guizhou Grain Reserve Road(three terms),Guidong Road,Guizhou Inspector,Guizhou Tixue Road,and Guidong Road.During his time in Guizhou,Zhou Zuoji had many achievements,mainly manifested in compiling official records,promoting education,and benefiting the people.By combing through local chronicles,archives,memorials,and other relevant literature,we will delve into Zhou Zuoji's achievements as an official in Guizhou and his political achievements in Guizhou.
