An Initial Exploration of the Roads in the Tibetan-Yi Corridor from the Perspective of Pastoral Cultural Heritage
From the perspective of cultural heritage studies,the paper examines the significance of roads and rivers as corridors in the Tibetan-Yi Corridor region within the context of pastoral cultural heritage.Building on an analysis of the natural and cultural environments that shape the roads in the Tibetan-Yi Corridor,the paper delineates the characteristics and distribution of river channels and roads.It further highlights the facilitative role of roads in guiding the migration of ancient nomadic peoples,transforming pastoral industrial structures,establishing trade routes,and driving economic development along these routes.Consequently,the paper uncovers the economic,social,cultural,and ecological values of these roads in the development of pastoralism in the Tibetan-Yi Corridor.The roads in the Tibetan-Yi Corridor serve not only as physical bridges but also as pivotal links for the interaction,exchange,and integration between pastoral and agricultural peoples.Exploring and effectively leveraging their values are crucial for promoting comprehensive regional prosperity and reinforcing the sense of community among the Chinese nation.
