Effect of Three Typical Road Landscape Forests on Microclimate under Summer Weather in Zhucheng City
In order to explore the microclimate effects of different road landscape forests, three typical urban road forests (Sabina chinensis road forest, Platycladus orientalis road forest and Populus road landscape forest) were taken as research objective in Zhucheng City, Shandong Province. The microclimate factors were observed inside the greenbelts, among the greenbelts and the wild outside respectively. The effects of three typical road landscape forests on the summer microclimate conditions were studied, from July 24 to 30, 2014. The results showed that the solar radiation significantly reduced in three kinds of road landscape forests, and the lowest value was in Platycladus orientalis road forest (P<0.05, reduced by 85.56%). There was a significant difference among three kinds of road forests in each daily time interval. The daily variations of air temperature of the three kinds of road landscape forests raised firstly and then decreased, however, which was contrary to the air relative humidity. The highest value was in the morning (32.6℃) and the lowest was in the afternoon (26℃) for air temperature in the Sabina chinensis road forest. Three kinds of road forests had functions of lowering temperature and increasing humidity. The air negative oxygen ion of Sabina chinensis (1 017 ind·cm-3) was higher than that of the open land, which was higher than that of Platycladus orientalis and Populus road landscape forest, significantly (333 ind·cm-3and 350 ind·cm-3, respectively). There was a significant difference among all samples for air negative oxygen ion. The coverage correlated significantly and negatively to solar radiation, air temperature and soil temperature. Comprehensive analysis showed that Platycladus orientalis road forest could significantly reduce the soil temperature, increase soil relative humidity and reduce soil compaction, which could improve the soil quality. Sabina chinensis road forest can significantly increase the air negative oxygen concentration and improve air quality. The coverage of road forest can significantly affect the microclimate condition.
