Deng Pei,a pioneer of the workers'movement,led the establishment of primary-level trade unions in Tangshan Manufacturing Factory of Beijing-Fengtian Railway,Kailuan Coal Mine,and Qixin Cement Company.He also led the establishment of Beijing-Fengtian Railway Workers'Association and served as its chairperson.Additionally,he led the estab-lishment of the National Railway Federation of trade unions and served as its chairperson for first three terms.Moreover,he participated in the leadership of the establishment of All-China Federation of Trade Unions and served as its executive chairperson.Deng pei made significant contributions to the early trade union movement in China.
