The article analyzes the value of online communities applying in reading promotion in university libraries,constructs a reading promotion model for online communities in university libraries from four aspects:promotion subject,promotion content,promotion target,and promotion channel,and proposes specific practical paths,which is to introduce reader traffic and build a library reading community;carry out community reading and cultivate readers'community reading thinking;deepen community operations and promote the healthy development of community reading.
