Strategies of Digital Construction of Ancient Books in Public Libraries Based on Life Cycle Theory
Guided by the life cycle theory,this article summarizes the content and logical framework of the digital construction of ancient books in public libraries,and proposes strategies for the digital construction of ancient books in public libraries:that is,in the front-end life cycle,comprehensively and systematically collecting digital resources of ancient books,standardizing the editing of digital resources of ancient books,and optimizing the management of ancient book digital resource cataloging based on metadata input;In the mid-range lifecycle,utilizing thematic databases to properly store ancient book digital resources,creating semantic disclosure technology routes for ancient book digital resources,and recommending ancient book digital resources contextually based on user needs;In the end of the lifecycle,developing ancient digital cultural and creative products that can provide users with an immersive interactive experience,planning digital cultural and tourism activities that can promote the internalization and absorption of ancient cultural knowledge by users,and constructing a full media matrix for promoting ancient books in all scenarios.
