The article reviews the current research status of"zero borrowing"theme in libraries,taking the"zero-borrowing readers"group in Xiamen Library as the research object,conducting semi-structured interview with 120"zero-borrowing readers"through sampling survey,it points out that the emergence of"zero-borrowing readers"in public library are influenced by two factors:readers themselves and the library.Based on this,it proposes wake-up strategies for"zero-borrowing readers"in public libraries,namely improving the warning mechanism for"zero-borrowing readers"and establishing information database for"zero-borrowing readers";based on the awakening theory,cultivating the reading habits of"zero-borrowing readers";exploring online and offline integration methods to meet the reading needs of"zero borrowing readers";strengthening service promotion and publicity,activating the awareness of"zero-borrowing readers"to use the library.
