Hong Fanwu was a pioneer in the modern library science.East China Normal University held a symposium commemorating the 130th anniversary of Hong Fanwu's birth on November 22,2023.This paper extracts the key viewpoints from the symposium,delves into Hong Fanwu's life by integrating relevant historical materials,highlights his significant contributions to the library profession and research,and specifically explores the modern library science viewpoints embedded in Mr.Hong's work Library Organization and Management.Additionally,the paper explores the inspiration provided by his work for the theory and practices of libraries in the era of information intelligence.
