A Framework of Elements for Libraries to Achieve Sustainable Development in the Context of Responsible Innovation
Since the launch of the United Nations'2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,the international library community has been calling on the libraries to take actions to contribute to sustainable development.Responsible innovation may provide a systematic guide for libraries to help them realize the SDGs and achieve self-innovation.This article examines the interrelationship between libraries,SDGs and responsible innovation at both the theoretical and practical levels.On this basis,the authors identify three basic elements of responsible innovation in libraries:ethical normativity,developmental permanence,and user participation.The article explores how libraries can accelerate sustainable business transformation and service innovation with the help of cases of responsible innovation in libraries.
