An Empirical Study on the Reading Promotion of Special Collections in University Libraries:An Example of Local Historical Documents in Shanghai Jiao Tong University
Reading promotion of special collections is a challenging part of library work.The practice of reading promotion of local historical documents in the collection of Shanghai Jiao Tong University shows that the combination of bibliographic interpretation and digitization construction is able to realize the in-depth excavation of the document content and expand the scope of reading promotion.Chinese traditional education culture,traditional Chinese medicine culture and red culture are all effective in reading promotion.The combination of venue exhibitions and cultural activities with the use of new media also builds a new path of reading promotion services,opening up a new space for cultural education in colleges and universities.
