In addition to recording local crops,animals and plants,the products in the local chronicles also involve information about the unique products of different periods,daily necessities of people's livelihood,etc.Undoubtedly,the mining of information in the product chronicles is of great value to the development of agronomy,traditional Chinese medicine,and cultural tourism resources.The series of Old Records of Shanghai Prefecture and County is the first overall excavation and arrangement of the official and county chronicles written before 1949 in the administrative area of Shanghai,in whichthe style and characteristics of the compilation of the"property"part are worthy of in-depth study.Not only that,the value of the property history can be reflected by compiling the property index and establishing the local property database,which requires further research.
