In order to increase the dimension of music resource retrieval,achieve the possibility of music discovery,and meet the professional and diverse music resource needs of users,the American Music Library Association(MLA)developed and released the Best Practices for Music Cataloging Using RDA and MARC21 in 2013.The article provides an in-depth interpretation and analysis of MLA best practices to provide examples of commonly used practices and experiences for the description and organization of original westem music literature in China.
