Analysis of RDA and BIBFRAME for Series Processing
RDA and BIBFRAME have set up relevant elements and properties for processing series to describe series information and reveal series relationships.For the description of series information,RDA elements are more abundant and the description granularity is finer.RDA provides series description in the manifestation,while BIBFRAME provides series description in the series work.For the revelation of the series relationship,both have set up two sets of work relationships and are corresponding,but the theoretical significance is different.The series relationship of RDA belongs to the inspiration relationship,while the series relationship of BIBFRAME belongs to the part relationship.The current BIBFRAME vocabulary and conversion tools have an issue of inconsistency for series processing,and it is expected that future BIBFRAME series processing methods may still undergo changes to better accommodate RDA.
