This meta-analysis aims to examine the effect of bibliotherapy on psychological status among cancer patients,focusing on the changes in psychological scores and factors influencing the effectiveness of bibliotherapy.Nine intervention studies with a total of 704 patients were included and analyzed statistically using RevMan 5.4 software.Pooled results showed that bibliotherapy could alleviate depression,anxiety symptoms,and improve quality of life in patients with malignant tumors.Factors influencing the effectiveness included venues of bibliotherapy implementation,professionals providing bibliotherapy,literature selection,and organizational forms.Bibliotherapy is effective among cancer patients.Analysis of the influencing factors in the implementation process will facilitate future work.
