In the Song Dynasty,people attached great importance to the Winter Solstice Festival,and the cus-tom of celebrating winter became popular throughout society.At the same time,a large number of He Dongqi papers congratulating the Winter Solstice emerged.There are about 302 articles written by 51 writers from the Song Dynasty that are still preserved today.The article presents a three paragraph programmatic writing and an elegant and polite parallel prose style,with a high degree of similarity.As a highly communicative and person-al letter,the He Dongqi papers played a role in strengthening connections,promoting relationships,and re-questing recommendation.It was generated in the new network of scholar relationships based on the imperial examination system in the Northern Song Dynasty,and continuously developed under the influence of the rec-ommendation system in the Southern Song Dynasty.
