Research hotspots and trends of Traditional Chinese Medical therapy in cirrhosis ascites based on Citespace:A visual analysis
Objective:To analyze the published articles in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)therapy of cirrhosis ascites,to explore its research hotspots and trends.Methods:The related literatures of TCM therapy of cirrhosis ascites published from January 1st,2000 to December 31st,2023 in CNKI were retrieved.Citespace 6.3.R2 software was used to analyze the authors,institutions and key words.Results:A total of 1 774 Chinese articles were included,which went through 3 stages of slow growth,rapid development and steady development.There were 644 authors in total,20 authors have written in excess of 3 articles,Liu Chenghai who has a small cooperative team ranked first with 11 articles.There were 561 institutions in total,19 of which have published more than 6 publications.The main research forces were the Universities of Traditional Chinese Medicine and their affiliated hospitals,whose tight relationship additionally showed a specific regional character.Through the analysis of key words since 2000,the initial research hotspots concentrated on the observation and evaluation of clinical effectiveness of integrated TCM and western medicine in the treatment of cirrhosis ascites.The second is to study the classics and clinical experience of renowned old Chinese medicine to develop the theory and dialectical treatment rules of TCM treatment of cirrhosis ascites.Conclusion:The study on the application of TCM to treat ascites in China is dispersed and varies by location,and there is a shortage of cooperation between research institutions and authors.The primary theme of the research was evaluating the clinical effectiveness of combining TCM with Western medicine,Chinese herbal compounds and external TCM treatment for hepatitis B-induced and refractory ascites.
