The Paradox and Shift of"Digital Intelligence"in the Age of Human-DT Symbiosis:A Comparative Study of Three Residential Areas in Zhengzhou During the"7·20"Heavy Rainstorm
"Everything is a medium"drives the incubation of a ubiquitous human technology symbiotic environment in digital infrastructure.Digital technology strongly intervenes in human relations and daily use, leading to the rise of superhumanism related to the preservation and abolition of wisdom. Its representative trend believes that digital indigenous/immigrant communities that completely coexist with digital technology will evolve into intelligent races, while others will become"digital refugees"due to losing their"intelligence".This statement disregards the complex causes of digital refugees.Based on this, returning to the process of wisdom theory derived from the Chinese context may be a reflective path.Subsequently, taking the"7·20"heavy rainstorm which is a typical challenge within the human-DT symbiosis circumstances as the backdrop, three residential areas in Zhengzhou are compared. It is found that the human-DT obligate pseudo-reciprocity mode leads individuals into long-term alternative adaptation, missing the wisdom process and becoming digital refugees.Individuals in the human-DT neutralism mode can implement the quasi-wisdom process by relying on the invisible presence of"Danwei",showcasing characteristics of digital wise persons to a greater extent. The human-DT facultative mutualism mode enables individuals to implement the wisdom process through compensatory evolution, fully demonstrating traits of digital wise persons.Different degrees of digital wise persons manifest a common feature:building up the affective infrastructure which is more elemental than any other kind of infrastructure. It connects with the traditional Chinese moral sentiment of"Ren'ai"(benevolence and love),so that wisdom can be returned to benevolence, and benevolence can be used to nourish wisdom.
