Science Fiction and Mythology:Leaping the Anthropocene
In today's Anthropocene era,humanity may face the fate of being replaced by its own creations(such as the high-speed iteration of artificial intelligence).Can the myths created for humanity and science fiction awaken another transcendent force,and is it possible to construct some new cognitive thinking to cope with the unstable future?Recently,Liu Yukun,a renowned fantasy writer,and Song Mingwei,a professor at Wellesley College in the United States and a scholar in modern Chinese literature and science fiction,delivered speeches on"Science Fiction and Mythology:Leaping the Anthropocene".Dr.Gong Yongshi and Dr.Yu Xuying from the School of Arts and Social Sciences of Hong Kong Metropolitan University,as well as Dr.San Feng,a visiting scholar at the Science and Human Imagination Center of the Southern University of Science and Technology,participated in the discussion.Our journal has specially selected and presented the essence of the conversation.
