在异质化的现代社会探求"共同生活"的伦理之道

建设中华民族现代文明是实现中国式现代化的必然要求,是我们在新时代新的文化使命.在现代化的进程中,人们的生活方式、文明素养及价值体认现代化的特征日益明显,社会的伦理道德发展面临着一系列重大理论和现实问题.如何激活中华民族优秀道德传统中富有生命力的优秀因子,实现中国传统伦理型文化的创造性转化和创新性发展?如何创造属于我们这个时代的新文化,在异质化的现代社会筑牢伦理之基?这些成为迫切需要回答的问题.为此,2023年11月25-26日,江苏省道德发展智库、江苏省公民道德与社会风尚协同创新中心、东南大学道德发展研究院、东南大学人文学院共同举办"伦理道德发展与中国式现代化"国际会议,就现代化进程中伦理道德发展的新方向、新问题、新挑战、新机遇进行了深入探讨.本期约请部分与会学者撰文,以飨读者.李萍教授从历史与实践的角度阐述了"伦理觉悟"对中华民族现代文明发展的启蒙意义.她认为,"伦理觉悟"与中国特色社会主义事业的实践发展具有某种内在的历史契合性,现代文明的发展必须保持文化自觉,保持文化反省力、批判力,特别是在文明发展的重大转型时期,这种"觉悟"显得尤为关键.贺来教授强调,在异质化的现代社会寻求"共同生活"的伦理之道,是西方和中国现代化进程都难以回避的重大伦理挑战.为此,我们需要对中国传统伦理体系进行批判性反思,既吸取其有益的资源,又对其局限性有充分的认识.王淑芹教授认为,道德分歧与社会团结矛盾的凸显是现代化的必然产物,在中国式现代化建设的道路上,必须妥善处理道德分歧与社会团结之间的关系,使二者间的张力在相互成就中实现和谐平衡.谈际尊研究员提出,权利性道德作为一种"批判性道德",在试图冲破传统道德束缚的同时,也可能带来道德异化风险.因此,我们需要重新审视权利在道德生活中的地位,而不是将之视为社会实践的道德依据或美好生活的道德合法性基础.庞俊来教授指出,中国式现代化道路必须立足于文明的价值内核,唯此才能确立中国式现代化的当代文明位系,人类命运共同体的中国方案才能获得精神支撑.涛慕思·博格(Thomas Pogge)教授认为,当前国际关系呈现出对抗性,这不仅加剧了出现暴力灾难的潜在风险,而且阻碍了道德上颇为紧迫的各种倡议与改革合作的推出.他呼吁推动国际关系向道德化方向发展,为更深入的改革奠定信任与尊重的基础.
Building the Ethical Foundation of Modern Civilization:Theoretical Consciousness,Value Reconstruction,and Civilization Dialogue
Building the modern civilization of the Chinese nation is an inevitable requirement for the realization of Chinese path to modernization,and is our new cultural mission in the new era.In the process of modernization,the ethical and moral development of society is facing a series of significant theoretical and practical problems.How to achieve creative transformation and innovative development of traditional Chinese ethical culture?How to establish a solid ethical foundation in a heterogeneous modern society,has become an urgent question that needs to be answered.Therefore,the International Conference on"Ethical Development and Chinese Path to Modernization"was held to discuss the relevant topics.Professor Li Ping elaborated on the significance of"ethical consciousness"for the development of modern Chinese civilization from the perspectives of history and practice.The development of modern civilization must maintain cultural self-awareness,reflection and criticism,especially during the major transformation period of civilization development.Professor He Lai emphasized that seeking the ethical path of"living together"in a heterogeneous modern society is a major ethical challenge that both Western and Chinese modernization processes cannot avoid.Therefore,we need to critically reflect on the traditional Chinese ethical system,absorbing its beneficial resources while fully understanding its limitations.Professor Wang Shuqin believed that we must properly handle the relationship between ethical differences and social solidarity,so that the tension between the two can achieve harmony and balance in mutual achievements.Researcher Tan Jizun proposed that we need to re-examine the status of rights in moral life,rather than viewing them as the moral basis for social practice or the moral legitimacy foundation for a better life.Professor Pang Junlai pointed out that Chinese path to modernization must be based on the core value of civilization.Only in this way can we respond to the dual tasks of"unfinished modernity"and"surpassing Western modernity"in theory and practice.Professor Thomas Pogge believed that the confrontational situation in the current international relation system exacerbates the risk of violent disasters and hinders the progress of ethical initiatives and cooperative reforms.He called for promoting the development of international relations towards moralization and laying a foundation of trust and respect for deeper reforms.
